I lent a spare USB mouse to my friend for about a month, I asked for it back when I got my new laptop. Problem is, he must bathe in grease or something 'cos it's really **** greasy on the sides and top.

Anyone know the best way to clean it? It's rather... nasty to touch. Usable, just... yeuch.

Can we get a picture of this? I think alcohol and distilled water should do it, Just let it to dry so you don't kill your laptop.

It's not really visible (the grease, not the mouse), but really obvious when you pick it up.

As long as it is all external just use a warm damp cloth or paper towel. If you have them, use a pre-moistened bay wipe first to get it off and then use a damp cloth.

As long as you don't soak the thing you will be fine.
