I just aquired, for free, a SSL 1225 Silicon systems "graphics server" (I've not heard the term before) unit, which I can't find any info on whatsoever. A company I was working for was chucking it out for scrap.
Here an image of it:
Theres no stickers or any other info on the unit at all.
The only thing I know is that those 4 clipped in HDs on the front are 120Gb each, which is pretty nice considering it's free.
Basically I just would like to know anything I can about it, what CPUs it has etc, and what is best to install on it as a home use PC, an easy to use linux distro or windows. It's currently got linux (unsure what, I think it may be red-hat but I have very little knowledge of that OS) locked with a password so I'm going to have to install something on it. I'm baffled by this thing and am just curious if anyone can shed any light on it at all!
