Default Graphics Driver Update

I own a Nvidia GeForce FX 5900XT, when i open up counter stirke it says my dirvers are out of date. I downloaded the new 71.89 from nvidia, i try to install it but it gives me this error:

An error (-5003 : 0x8004ace8) has occuredwhile running the setup.
please make sure you have funished any previous setup and closed other applications.

i was told to uninstall my current drivers, then reinstall them, but i have misplaced my driver cd i got with my card.

please help lol

1) goto add/remove and remove "nvidia drivers",
2) reboot,
3) redownload nvidia drivers from website in case original was corrupted,
4) use task manager to close all programs
5) install new drivers,

*6*) sell that biotch on ebay for $150 and buy yourself an eVGA 6600gt off of www.newegg.com

Done. Now i have no drivers, not even my original ones, they r coming up with the same error.

and im in Australia, newegg does not provide international service.

Forget the 61.00, burn them, throw them out, delete them.

Downlaod this
http://www.drivercleaner.net/

Clean out your drivers
Install 71.89's

If this fails, reinstall XP

im pretty sure those new drivers are for 6 series only

No they work for any Nvidia card basicly (cept TNT2's and crap)

That's why the drivers are soo huge.
