I like the Asus SLI boards, but there has been a big problem with the chipset fans dying on them. If you pick it up locally then make sure the retailer has a good warrenty so that you can bring the board back in case of fan death.

As for your vid card, if you want a good inexpensive 6600GT, get an MSI. But if you want like 3 more fps, get a Leadtek or an eVGA.
