I just built a new computer, and all the drivers i need are installed.... but the graphics card driver.

Here are the specs on my pc:
P4 3.6ghz
Asus P5AD2-E Premium Wireless Addition Motherboard
Asus Extreme GeForce4 N6800GT 256mb Graphics card
2gb DDR2 ram
300gb Western Digital IDE HDD
Windows XP Pro with SP2

Now the problem with it is, when i install the graphics card driver, i need to reboot, and when i reboot it makes it to the windows loading screen with the blue progress bar then the computer lights stay on, but my monitor switches off.... im not sure if the computer has crashed or if the monitor is just turning off. it is a fairly old 17" monitor. So to get it back working again, i need to reboot in safe mode and do a system restore.

The help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for trying to help but i have got it working. i borrowed my friends LCD monitor and it works. my monitor obviously cant take my graphics card.
Thanks for the help anyway...
