Hi all,

Got a few questions to ask..
i'm building a new computer from scrach
its going to be primarily a gaming machine
so will need good graphics
i will also want to watch TV on the computer aswell
so i was wondering what graphics card would be best to do this?

am stumped :(

I would prefer it to be all on the 1 card makes the case look cleaner..
however if you know of 2 good cards i'm listening

i'm looking for 256mb ideally as the games i play are high graphics..

i play games such as

Call of Duty
Starwars Galaxies
Battlefield Vietnam

and will be playing other FPS shooters when they come out and you all know these are high-graphic games

256MB cards dont come with TV-Tuners built in,

GeForce 5700 Media Centre might be exception. for these games, you can as well get ATi AIW 9800. that will be considered best match to your option.

and AIW cards comes with so much clutter, that you might have less mess inside the system, but be ready to have full telecommunication exchange at the back. (Assuming you will be using 5.1 speakers)

Isnt the 9800 a 128mb card?
would that still be best for gaming?

i'd want the machine as a gaming first then a tv tuner
what seperate card options do i have for a tv tuner?

ATI AIW is very best for both gaming and TV. and yes its 128MB.

or you can get a high end graphic card, + hauppauge USB2.0-PVR (i believe this is model number) , this is external card, so can be used on any of laptops/pc's in ur home and as well very nice quality.

i mean the graphics card i have at the moment i bought a while ago not to sure what its capable of
its a Leadtek Geforce FX5200
256mb
tv-out
DVI

now i can use that to watch tv with right?
thats all on the 1 card..
