GPU Wattage question...

If a GPU says it requires a 450W PSU... does that mean it draws that much? I would imagine not... If not how would I find out how much power it would draw?

I just bought this bad boy and I have a 550W power supply... I don't want to blow anything since I have a lot of other crap pulling power too... Mainly my CPU which pulls 115W.

I plan on running my new GPU on it's own PSU rail if that makes a difference. What is the difference in the PSU requirement and what it draws?

No, that is the recommended psu for running the entire system. Which is usually over estimated.

Look at any review, they all test for gpu only power draw, and I think a 460 is like 172W load.
