Yes, they do age out...but in such a short period of time? Isn't their something wrong there? We've had our computer for three or four years. Nothing yet. Or is each video card different?

Depends on the card, the heatsink, the usage, the power...also, how often you brown-out, who manufactured the card, etc. There's lots of factors that go into the lifespan of a computer component.
