got 2500 to spend, what should i get??

when i get back home, am thinking about making a new computer. spending about 2500 on the setup. am not getting no name brand shit, all custom. so hit me with all the ideas u guys got. btw is pci-express and ddr2 worth looking into?

PCI-Express 16x is not only worth it, you'd be a moron if you didn't get it with 2500 to spend. And no, DDR2 is not what it's cracked up to be, stick with DDR. How do you plan getting a custom MoBo, processor, RAM, etc? ROFL? Or do you just mean your getting a custom case?
