Good speakers for gaming

i need surround sound speakers (7.1?) tht are good for gaming and regular listening to music, i don't need anything loud or with a deep bass, but i need something good

i've seen many people recommend the logitech one

are there cheaper ones that are just as good? or is that logitech one (around 143) as good as it gets per dollar?

7.1 is probably a bit of overkill if you ask me. Also it depends on your budget if you want top notch stuff the Creative GigaWorks S750 are meant to be really nice.
If you wannna go a nice set of 5.1 speakers I have a set of Logitech of Z-680s and their real nice and have fallen in price recently or you could buy the set that has superseeded them the Z-5500s

also, what are the specs to look for in a good speaker

I have some Shark Cannon V 5.1 speakers, which are good but not expensive. they would be hard to find though
