Good setup?

I'm going to build a computer as soon as I get the money for it. I was thinking about using these parts:

All of these parts should come to just under $500. Once I get the extra cash, I'm going to buy a Powercolor Radeon 9600XT video card. Do you think this is a good setup to play some games on until I get a 9600XT? Will it at least play most games (such as Halo) at low resolution? Thanks guys.

I'm not sure about Codegen cases, they tend to have cheaper PSU's which aren't that reliable. you could either get a seperate PS or a case with a better PS

also, you might want to try look for a Seagate drive, they are generally less expensive than WD, are of VERY good quality - don't think ive heard anyone complain or report a problem with Seagates - and are the quietest ever 7200RPM drives

yeah, if you are going to change the video card eventually, just get something cheap for the time being. And halo wont run on anything, so dont worry about that. With my system specs i can play UT2k4 at a solid 60fps, so the 9600XT can do it if you have a fast enough processor which i have heard nothing but good things about the 2500+, its a great processor for the money.

One thing i would change: get the Retail 2500+ processor with the 333 FSB. Its actually cheaper than the OEM link you have.

I changed the RAM because the Mushkin RAM I chose kept rising in price by about $2 a day (which got annoying after like four days!). I'm going with the mobile processor because I think those are the only AMD processors that you can overclock (the others are now locked). And I changed the hdd to a 120gb Seagate with an 8mb buffer. The mobo has onboard video, so I'm just going to use that for the time being (it's better than what I have now, so it'll be good enough until I get the 9600XT) Altogether it's about $540, but that's not too bad. I wish I could've kept it under $500, but oh well. Any other suggestions? Thanks guys.

Like I told you before and apokalipse told you, don't trust the power supply that comes with the case, get a good one.

The mobile ones are the only kind that will overclock. Correct me if I'm wrong though, because then I can get it cheaper.

He is getting a mobile because they do not have a locked multiplier like a normal xp.
