alright this is wierd, my computer originally had a gigabyte 7vm400m mobo but it developed a intermittent fault so i bought a Asus a7n8x-x. my friend has had one 7vm400m fail and also a 7vm400AM (only slightly different model) fail. now a neighbour of mine had a computer which didnt turn on, they asked me to fix it. Well i opened it up and guess what i found - a 7vm400m mobo.
(yes i did check the psu and all the other routine checks before concluding it was the motherboard)

is it just me or is there a severe manufacturing fault with the 7vm400m series motherboards.

note: im never buying gigabyte again.

Actually Gigabyte is still a good board it's just that thier was a bad batch of 7vm400m and 7vm400AM. I have sent quite a few of them back for RMA.

There other boards, I have not had much in returns on.

However I have had a much bigger return rate on ASUS.
