ghosting/halos on Samung CRT Monitor

I purchased a Samung 753DF 17" CRT monitor and notice there's some halos or ghosting on text with white background.

I've tried degaussing and adjusting contrast and brightness, but its still there. Is there anything else I can do, or is it an inherent problem with the monitor.

Monitors usually work or they don't work, Maybe ya could check with the Manufactuer or whoever ya bought it from. Was it a new Monitor? Got the proper Drivers? The Samsung's I've seen are really pretty good quality. How old is this Monitor & what are ya running?

Monitor is brand new in the box. Updated with the latest drivers. Maybe I'll bring it back.

That would help narrow it down & take alot of guess work out of it. Ya had another monitor on this PC before & it worked right?

Yup...was the monitor itself. Changed it and the problem doesn't happen on the new one.
