Even if you "build" your own, you can get the computer shop to assemble it for you. I know that some people worry about building. You will still save money over a Dell

Alienware machines are powerful, but you are gonna have to pay a disgusting amount of money for one.

Don't go with alienware either - overpriced. Surely there must be a small PC shop near to you who could build you a really nice system for your budget - it never hurts to ask for a quote

As much as I hate to admit it, most are right about Alienware. I ordered one and I'm SURE I overpayed, but I'm ok with it as long as the comp is everything that I want and more.

antec true power 350w power supply $50
case whatever you want $70 should work
e-geforce fx6600gt $185
80 gig sata $60
round cables and fans $40
zalman cpu hsf $52
cd/dvd drives $50

total cost $952 this computer will kick the crap out of that dell and costs about the same
