Question GeForce3 stepping revision

Now, first and foremost, I'm not going to bother with removing the heatsink/fan off my card, so let's just leave it at that.

This is just a small question, rather, what is the correct revision of my Gainward card? 3DMark 2001 SE (build 330) and WCPUID both detect it as stepping revision A3, but PowerStrip and RivaTuner report it as A5 - which should I trust?

hmm, thats a tough one. Me personally, I would go with the higher revision, it just sounds better.

Honestly though, I would say If 3dMark says its so. Its probably so.

Have yu check SiSoft Sandra? (I dont even remember if that prog has vid card info.

Sandra reports A3 as well - oh well, not too much of a worry, as I don't think there's anything remotely different in stability/performance between the two (A3/A5) - just something that popped up while going through the drivers.

Thanks
