GeForce FX 5950 Ultra Cooling Question?

I have this video card and before I got my 550watt power supply I disconnected everything so that not that much power was being taken so that video card would work ok I guess.
What, I want to know if what I can do to lower my tempature. It is currenty at 62 degrees (is that ok?)

gfx cards run VERY hot compared to cpus. You can get a vga colling system, ag3 knows more about them. You should also use AS5 (arctic silver 5)

62C is actually ok for that card. they usualy run hot anyway. You could always get a watercooling system for it but that might be a little overboard.

Yea I guess it running ok.
What I did once got it down to 35 was that opend the case up and had my fan blowing right into it.

There is no "it should run at XXC"

Each GFX card is very different.

My 9800XT runs in the 70's range, while a 9600 is in the 30's or 40's range, and a 9200 runs so cool it doesn't even need a fan. 62 is fine for that card. When it hits 85-90 i would start to get nervous.
