i think it is, i bought one an am very happy with it. Although the 5900 is really hard to find, so i got the xt which is basicly the same thing, the only difference is that the xt has a core clock of 390, but that can easily be upped to 400.

I voted NO (buy Radeon 9800 PRO instead). I sold out a 9800PRO once to someone (gamer) he bought 5950 afterwards as well (using both), after sometime I saw him selling his nVidia, asking for the reason, i got one line reply, ATi is the card for gaming , though i personely like nVidia a lot (very stable drivers), and suits me well as wll, cause I am not gamer.

I think this is a good card, but I would recommend a 9800 pro over the 5900
Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro - $193 with warranty
