nVidia will counteract ATI's move by a) dropping the price of their current flagship, the 7800 GTX ridiculously, and b) no doubt release a souped-up version of the 7800 GTX with 32 pipelines, 512MB of VRAM, daft clock frequencies etc... Mark my words ;)

You back up your data first. A new mobo requires a clean format of your HDD.
