Hello Winston.

Welcome to HP Total Care for Compaq Desktops. My name is Ryan. How may I assist you today?

Winston Zeng
Hello Ryan.

Winston Zeng
I have a SR1520NX desktop from hp and I was just wondering if they support dual channel ram.

I understand your concern.

The preinstalled processor on SR1520NX is :

Sempron 3100+ (P) 1.8 GHz

Winston Zeng
Does the motherboard support dual channel ram?

It is a Socket 754 architecture. The following are the supported upgrades :

Athlon64 3700+ Processor (Clawhammer, 2.4 GHz)

AMD Athlon64 3400+ processor (Newcastle, 2.4 GHz)

I am sorry Winston, the motherboard doesn't supports dual core processor.

Winston Zeng
Okay, t hanks.

You are welcome.

Is there anything else that I can assist you today.

Winston Zeng
No. That is all.

Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.

Have a nice time, bye.

this thread makes no sense. i don't see any indication of gayness, unless you mean happy-gay. and he's asking about dual-channel ram and gets an answer about dual-core cpu's, and says ok thanks. ?????

I really don't think you should be so quick to criticize someone else's knowledge. Seeing as how you couldn't figure out for yourself if your computer runs dual channel.

Oh, by the way,
