Whoa didn't pick a CPU!! The CPU link takes you to memory.

And I think 40GB is a bit small for your purposes. May I ask why you do not want an SATA HD?

First got a computer 4 years ago. Windows ME. Got second hand computers with different operating systems from my family members to play around with...

Honestly for programming you dont need such a powerful CPU, so get a single core AMD

We run the new enterprise edition of Visual Studio on P3 800's fine
