About a week ago I bought BF 2 and played it for about 4 days solid fine on its highest settings. Yesterday I had to reformat my HD because of a driver IRQL_not_less_or_equal error message, I reinstalled BF 2 and it was all choppy and there were random shadows everywhere. So I installed some new video drivers and it got rid of the random shadows but its still choppy.

Any help will be appreciated.

Specs:
Athlon 3500
2 x 512 sticks of PC3200 OCZ Premier series RAM
XFX GeForce 6800 GT pci-e

GPU is 82C on load lol.....but apparently they are stablu up till 127 or something(not that thye ahould even get close to that number)

GPU isnt problem ,its fine at 82. You must install all your drivers befor playing.. Make shur you update windows, and install everything u need

I have the same problems, try going to medium settings.

I am able to get to high, with medium shadows and lighting on a 6600GT however

I think i might have fixed it.

I tryed using my other drive and i opened up the FPS

it was around 90/10

BTW what does the 90 mean and what does the other number mean?

its gotta have something to do with the drive either its messed up or viruses or soemthing try another drive like u said

BF2 doesn't work well for me.
