Game Crashes

I just got a new pc, have gotten all updates and drivers for it.
Anyway, it came with some game "Joint Operations" , i can play the game offline fine, no problems, when i go online, after a minute of playing, my computer freezes, i cant do anything, the little pc loading light on the box isnt flashing, so i have to restart.
The same thing is happening with the BF2 demo, i can play it offline, but when i play online, freezes.
However when i play guild wars online, no problems.
Can anyone help me?
my specs are.

AMD64 Athlon 3200+ socket 939
2x512mb geil dual channel PC3200 400mhz Ram
GA-K8N gigabyte mobo socket 939
Gigabyte Geforce 6600GT 128mb PCI-e
D link DGE-530T network card

uh...it could be your video card settings...while playing the games online check your ping/latency before your computer freezes..if it is really high i would think it is the video card...if so turn the settings down a bit...i'm not really sure what could be causing this

problems fixed, it was tied in with my other problem.
it was happening due to old drivers on my mobo. downloaded them, that caused a whole lot of trouble. fixed that, now it all works fine.
