Default Gainward Geforce4 Ti 4200 & VIA Chipset

I have a really big problem enabling AGP 4X on my system. i have installed the latest drivers from both VIA and Nvidia. When i did install the VIA 4 in 1 drivers, it did enable AGP 4X but whenever i would play a game, it would freeze up. My motherboard is ASUS CUV4X-E. i'm running windows XP, installed Nvidia 41.09 drivers. DirectX 8.1 Also i wanted to know if a low power supply could affect anything? i have upgraded my system several times and recycled the power supply which i believe is 150w max.

OMG YES!! get an new PSU ASAP! That can cause serious problems that low. Get at least at 350w PS.

I think we can all rule out the PSU problem here - generally most problems with AGP 4X over the VIA chipset is usually with an incompatibility of the card itself.
