Default fx5200

i just want to know how much better is a geforcefx 5200 than a gf4 mx440....
i want numbers if possible

GeForce FX 5200 is a DX9 video card while MX440 is only a DX8 card. 5200 can at least run modern games such as Far Cry and Doom 3. The MX440 is completely outdated, does not support DX9 games or Pixel Shader 2.0. It will have trouble even running Quake III engine games. Although I wouldn't reccommend either of these cards, I would much rather the FX 5200 than the MX 440.

If you're looking for a card in that same price range, I would recommend a GeForce4 Ti4200. Here is a good link showing various benchmarks:

Also, this review of many different video cards should help you quite a bit. It has the different price ranges and what they rate as the "Best Buy".
