FX-55 Vs 4000+

Ok heres the situatuon. FX-55's are out of stock absolutely EVERYWHERE in the UK for the next 3 weeks and are pirced around £580 inc VAT.

Now then I can get an Athlon 64 4000+ tommorow for around £470. Am i really going to notice the difference?

You won't notice a difference. The real advantage with the FX series is the unlocked multiplier, which is so damn benficial to overclocking.

the way I figure it, by the time I actually get the FX-55, its going to be out of date anyway. Which is the case for 99% of electrical components/goods these days anywho

Go with the 4000+. I have one of those slapped into my Gaming System.

The performance is nuts man.

The 4000 is an fx-53. You wont notice a difference, and you could overclock to therotical fx-57 speeds easy.

The FX-55 is the same as the soon to come 4300+
The FX-53 is the same as the 4000+
