If you are planning or are upgrading to the Pentium 4 500 series, then I suggest you wait two or three weeks. This is because all current Prescott based Pentium 4 processors on the D0 stepping will be replaced by the E0 stepping. The E0 stepping reduces heat and this was proven by the 570J. The 570J (E0) which has a higher frequency than the 560 (D0) gives off less heat where as the "560's heat can kill." The E0 stepping processors also have the J suffix which stands for XD Bit which is sort of like virus protection built into the processor. If you are impatient and can't wait for a new computer, then please buy yourself a Pentium 4 520 (D0) since it is the best overclocker in the D0 series. However, if you can wait then I suggest waiting until E0 stepping replaces all Pentium 4s so the thermal output looks better and this means better ocing. In the words of Tom's Hardware (I believe) regarding the E0 stepping (570J), "This is the first time we've like a Prescott."
