Default FPS Problem

Well, until now I have been very happy with my new Alienware, but I'm getting a bit peaved tonight. I've been enjoying World Of Warcraft at a solid 60 fps for a week now. All the sudden tonight my fps will go from 60 and drop down to 2 fps. Any ideas why? My temps are all ok. What else could be causing this?

Restart your computer, do you leave it on all the time?

It sounds more like an internet connection problem than a hardware problem, I've never heard of any game drop down to 2FPS, especially in relatively low demanding games like Wow.

Well, I just ran 3dmark05 and to no surprise my score is about 1k less than it normaly is. There has got to be something wrong somewhere. Go figure.

All drivers are up to date. I've only had the comp for a week or so and until tonight it has Screamed through all games. Tonight................it's crawling through them. This is Rediculous.

Try a spyware and antivirus scans.
Don't use Mcafee or Norton, their garbage.

Use AVG and microsoft antispyware beta.
