okay, so i wanna format my computer because i just have a loooooottt of stuff on it i don't want, but then again there is stuff on it do want.....is there anyway i can save the stuff i do want but still be able to format my computer?

i gotta problem....i don't have a dvd burner on this computer....what if i just burned them to cd's? or maybe could i like transer the files to an old hdd and just hook it up after the format is done and transfer them or something? i don't know....i probaly have about 15 gigs of info i still need

sure if you have an old hdd that is large enough go ahead. you could burn to cd's but personally i wouldn't want to burn 20+ cd's :/

Yes, you can put it all on a 'spare' HDD for storage while you format the main drive... I have done this many a time. Just make sure that you have the storage drive as a SLAVE, and the main HDD as MASTER.
