Angry Floppy drive

My floppy drive isn't working. I don't know what make it is, but it's just over 12 months old. I've checked the connections, they're sound. Also device manager says the drivers are OK.

Any suggestions?

Did you ever use it before and did it work?
Check if the cable isn't connected the wrong way around on your mobo.

I had a similar problem with my old Gateway, but the HD LED was the one that was constantly on. Double check all connections again and make sure they are sound...Again.

If the light stays on all the time then the Ribbon cable is plugged in backwards.
