Fixing my 2.5" hard drive....

I recently bought an ipod off ebay with the intent of personal use. The description said that the hard drive was faulty and thats it. Im wondering if there are any tutorials on how to fix a hard drive? thanks in advance

i don't no much about ipods but it may be possible to replace the hdd. i think they use a seagate model. hdd's are difficult to impossible to fix.

no i havent tried those options yet, but i would figure that opening up a harddrive and connecting whats disconnected would be easier then buying a new hd. This was meant to be more of a general hd problem because i know people around my area that are complaining of there hard drive eing broken and i was wondering if there was a guide so that i could make a lil money on the side repairing harddrives.

note: there are some tools listed on that site but those looks to be for a 3.5" drive not a 2.5"

^^^ That is a very expensive process. You do that for file recovery, but the drives are never fully useable.
