first time building, is it all compatible?

the top one is the case.

I don't think i need to flash the bios as at the top of the page it has a picture with 90nm on it http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/products.php?categories=1&model=201

but if i do need to do it, how would i flash the bios?

also, why would i be better off with a 6600gt? the 6800 has 12 pixel pipelines.

It depends on which one you get... you could get old stock that doesn't have the bios for 90nm support.... Also look back in the forum and read the thread there entitled 6600GT Vs. 6800. That's in this forum btw...
