Hmmm... flashback... My mom bought a Mac Classic, somewhere around 89-90 I'd say. I fiddled a lot on this machine. Mostly gaming and Hypercard... and of course, MacPaint and MacDraw!
Later, at my dad's, I had 2 386 SX 33 desktops one after another. They both had 4Mb of Ram (which stick was bigger than a 256Mb one I have now!), 2 SCSI 40Mb HDs for the first one, 1 SCSI 137Mb hard drive in the 2nd... 14" and 15" VGA display... PC Speaker only. DOS 6.2 with 4DOS and even windows 3.1 on my second one! I used these one mostly for gaming (Pinball Dream, Stunts, Wolfenstein) and experimenting .BAT files.
I don't know the exact date I got the first one, but I think it was about around the 1st gen Pentium era...
I finally got up to date when I bought my current machine 2 years ago.
