Default Firewire to USB

This might be a stupid question but I am not sure. Is there such thing as a FireWire converter that you can make go into a USB port? And where can I find one? If there is one.

I don't think there is one. Just wondering, why would you need one?

I got an old PC that doesn't have Firewire ports and I wasn wanting to connect one of my firewire cameras to it,
