Default Firewire question?

I have a friend that has a laptop without firewire inputs just usb 2. His video camera has firewire outputs. How will he connect this to his laptop? Can he get an external hard drive that has usb and firewire and kind of daisy chain it? Hook the ex.hd to the laptop and the exhd to the camera? Anyone ever run into this problem?

Send a message via Yahoo to talldude123

Tell him to buy one.

Even if he was going to use USB 2.0 with a videocamera, it would be VERY slow.
