Fire Hazard

Just wondering if I run my computer 24/7, how much of a fire hazard is it? Has anyone ever had a computer related fire? I've never heard of it before. How can I minimise the risk?

its just as dangerous as leaving a video machine on all the time, and there isnt any fires in my house. i personally prefer to turn my pc off when im asleep or not at home.

use a surge protector as well.

M3trj, the chance of your computer catching on fire then spreading it, is lower then 1%. Your computer would have to reach temp above 140 degrees celsius. Before anything your computer would burn out from that kind of heat, witch would prevent anything catching on fire.
