fdisk whiped my hdd limit

as i was saying..my uncle fdisked my comp. i started with 51.5GB of space now i have about 4GB, tell me how it happend and how to get my space back paleeeze!!!!
 
I seem to remember that the largest FAT32 partition you can have is 32GB this could be the problem.

Change your OS to Windows XP!
 
The drive capacity limit of fdisk in regards to FAT32 depends on the version of fdisk (ie win95,98, 98se etc).

However, if your drive is 64GB or bigger in size (which it sounds like it is judging by amount of free space you had before), then win98/se fdisk will recognise it incorrectly.

What it will normally do is subtract 64GB from the actual size, then report the remainder as the total capacity, hence you end up with a stupid amount like 6GB for example.

Easiest thing to do probably is click on the link below & download Microsofts new fdisk.exe which will recognise larger drives :
