Will the following run FarCry (with EVERYTHING turned up to max detail) at very high frames?..:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+
PSU: Antec TruePower 480 w/ Low Noise Technology
MOBO: MSI/ABIT PRO (Which ever one I choose)
RAM: 1 GB (2x512) Corsair CMX PRO - PC3200
GCARD: ATI Radeon 9800 PRO (128 MB)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar 120 GB (8 MB) SATA 7200 RPM
CASE: NIKAO G3 IVORY - MODDED - (1 Intake / 2 Exhaust Fans) + Neon Lights

considering that prettymuch the only thing there that isnt THE VERY top of the line is the GPU, its a definent yes. but if u r going to spend that much money and u r a gamer i would try the x800.

nope, you'll get alright fps, but nothing spectacular.. if you want a real gfx card you've gotta step up to the x800 =/

Yeah, I've seen this game run on a 9800 pro, and you still can't have the game completely cranked! That's the way games are heading these days, they're miles ahead of the video card technology.

But you will be able to get a lot better graphics than I am with my FX 5600

My setup is similar except for the CPU and I played it with all bells and whistles and the lowest fps was around 25-30 so no problem.
The only thing I toned down was the AA 2X and ansisotropic filtering 4x
