Default extra hardrive

i have a really old computer lying around the house and im wondering if i can take the hard drive out and put it into my new computer. The old computer doesnt work anymore but i think the hd is still usable. Its a IBM probably built in the 98's . If i can do this could any1 link me to a turorial or something? I dont know how put in a extra hd.

Chances are the hard drive is around 8 GB big and uses IDE, so make sure you have a connection available on your current ide cable being used, or you'll have to get another one.
