Default External Hard drive question

I backup to an external Hd drive. It's a little over a year old. I have never defragged the drive, should I defrag an external hard drive. Oh and it's formatted Fat32 if that makes a difference, i dont' know if it does or not. Don't laugh, i'm learning!

Sure why not. Theres no harm in defraging a hard drive that, hasn't been defraged yet.
