I have a 500 GB Samsung eHDD (Model: HM500JI)

It was having something copied onto it. Then I received an error message saying that there wasn't enough space. Though there was at least 280 GB and I was shifting around 1-2 GB.

My drive stopped working after that. By this I mean:
When connected with the USB cable, the LED lights up
But, my laptop wont recognise that it is attached.

I have tried a different cable, different USB ports ect.

The lights go Green / Red / Red / Red and repeat. (If this is of any purpose)

A few things to try:

You can try a LInux LiveCD on the computer you're on. Boot off of the CD into a bootable Linux environment, plug the drive in, and see if its recognized there.

Second option: remove the drive from its enclosure, and hook it directly to a desktop computer internally and/or get a different external enclosure, and put the drive inside of that.
