External Hard Drive Help!?!?!?!

I recently bought a Dell 2400 for my wife. The cheapest one they have since she is not exactly a power user.

I want to connect an old drive from her last computer via an external enclosure without re-formatting as there are many files I want to recover.

The question I guess "is the external enclosure as simple as puttin'er in the case and pluggin' in and startin' up?"

Its that simple.

Just plug in your drive, make sure everything is plugged in correctly and your done.

To get it to work, you can just plug in the enclosure cable (USB/Firewire) to your PC and you are done. At most, you might need some sort of software but it should come with the enclosure.
