What is the best, most cost effective "1-touch" external hard drive?
Brand?
Size?

it really depends on what size u want. But price wize they are quite expensive, here is one:

it would be stupid to get anything less of size even if ur not gonna use the space!!

You could try to purchase an external hard drive case and an IDE hard drive seperately.

Basically, you put the IDE HD in the external case and you can connect the hard drive using USB 2.0 with a USB cable.
