I am living in Germany right now, and I plugged in my power supply into the 220v power outlets they have here, and forgot to switch the power supply over to the correct voltage. A loud pop and a large flash later the PSU was smoking. My question is, are all the components that were connected to it most likely fried, or hopefully just the PSU. I am buying a new power supply tomorrow, but I would like to know in advance what the chances are of salvaging the rest of my computer.
Thanks in advance

There is some chance that it is just your PSU, as that could of gone with the incorrect voltage, and a circuit breaker if the voltage is too high. Have a sniff around/look for burnt marks.

You will soon find out.

If it was a decent PSU, then you should be OK. Next time get one that auto-detects voltage, then you don't have to worry.

If it's a good PSU your likely fine, as the output power does not change as the input power changes.
