There has been a lot of questions about the Athlon64 and the insane frequency of the FSB. So, I thought that I should clear it up! 
Many people haved asked why the frequency of their FSB is set to 200 Mhz (4 x 200 = 800) in the BIOS, when the CPU itself supports 1600 Mhz. Well, it's simple!
When using an x64 platform (ex.: Windows XP 64-bit), the CPU will be processing 64 bits per clock cycle.
Twice the amount of data will be traveling at 800 Mhz (FSB). But when comparing to the data sent in 32-bit, it is as if the FSB had a frequency of 1600 Mhz.
So, what I am trying to say is that 1600 Mhz is just a comparison. The data will still be traveling at 800 Mhz, but twice the amount will be sent in the end.
So, don't go bumping your FSB's frequency upto 400 Mhz in the BIOS (400 x 4 = 1600), or you will burn something out!
