Everything is running slow

Ok, I have been working on another system of mine, running the following configuration

MSI KT4AV Mobo
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 333FSB
3x256MB Sticks of PC2100
Windows XP Pro
80 GB Maxtor HD
eVGA GeForce4 440 64MB

I went into the DirectX properties using DXDIAG, and its telling me that I only have a XP 1800+, and its only reading 512MB's of 768MB's of ram. So I went to VIA's website and installed the new chipset drivers, and that did nothing, and I made sure that everything else is up to date, and I still get no change. Does anyone know what is causeing this problem? I know the board can support much more than 768MB's of ram so its not that. Any help would be appriciated thanks.

look at your bios, when i installed my xp 2200, it ran at a 100fsb rather than 133, check your bios for correct fsb settings, if that doesnt work, try looking on MSI's webiste and get some info on the mobo.
