Epson Stylus CX6600

Anyone using Epson Stylus CX6600 ??
Info needed urgently please...Don't know how to open a scanned text document in Word format or if it is available at all with this machine. Only option it shows other than Multi TIFF, TIFF, BITMAP & JPEG is PDF Adobe.

using Epson Stylus CX6600

I have one but haven't used it extensively yet due to desktop problems. I believe it comes with some sort of optical character recognition software.
When a document is scanned the file produced is a "picture" type of file. In order to get it into a text document you'll need the OCR software I believe.

You're right Glenn the OCR which came with the machine is C**p.
I have installed a decent OCR, now everthing is fine.
