Default eh?

Maybe I'm just over thinking this too much, but on my Athlon 64 3000+ socket 754's box it says 800MHz FSB. But on some websites it says the FSB is only 200MHz, I don't understand.

200 is the actual front side bus speed.
x2 because your RAM us DDR (dual data rate)
x2 because your CPU is 64bit.

i think

TheMajorMMX - Intel P200 MMX @ 225Mhz - V-Tech (PcPartner) Baby-AT mb w/ Intel Triton TX chipset - Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 w/ 16MB - 256MB M-Tec SDRAM - Still running.....

No, the 64 bit has nothing to do with it...

It's 200x4=800. Or if you have dual channel memory, it is 200x2 + 200x2..

32-bit: (200 Mhz x 4) or (400 Mhz DDR x 2) = 800 Mhz HTT

64-bit: (200 Mhz x 4) or (400 Mhz DDR x 2) x 2 = 1600 Mhz HTT
