could the source of my all of the sudden mouse lag and performance drop garbage be that i have 2 HD's ???

15'' Macbook Pro
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16ghz
x1600 128MB
Windows XP/Mac OSX 10.5

No longer a Guru of games...

No...not unless its like an old 3200RPM hard drive or something. I along with many other people I know use 2 hard drives, and don't have problems. You told me the other day you are using two monitors? I've heard bad things about the 6800 series' dual-monitor capabilities. Unhook your second monitor and see what happens. I hope you get this fixed, and good luck.
