Found this, this person is using the same power DVD and thinks its the decorders so he downloaded the latest sonic codecs and then did the following to fix it, so may wanna check and see:

Go to estore.sonic.com, the product you are looking for is the Sonic cineplayer DVD decoder pack - 14.99. its origional purpose was to add DVD codecs to Windows XP with Media Player 8 as an addin pack. However it is a standard DirectShow filter and will work with any standard application.
