Arrow Is This DVD-RW Good?

Ok i was looking at getting a LG DVD-RW GSA-4120B optical drive for my comp now i live in canada and right now the price on it is $206 with all taxes. I have got 3 brothers who reck the sh*t out of everything i own i had to replace UT2004 2 times in canada that is an expensive a$$ game now that i bout a program to back them up i wann be able to back up all my dvds will this dvd-rw copy them? if so what program should i use so i dont get any errors on protetions and stuff and if you find that this drive is lacking some stuff please tell me wat to really pay attention in buying a dvd-rw.
Plz if you could check some things out for me and give me a reply it would be greatly appreciated!
